About The Institute

The Israel Institute for Jungian Psychology is a professional body entrusted with setting and maintaining a standard for clinical practice in Jungian analysis. It also encourages cooperation with other groups in order to deepen and expand the professional development of its candidates and members.

The Institute conducts a formal training program for mental health professionals, alongside other activities, some of which are open to the general public: lectures, case plays, guest lectures, group activities and more.

The Jungian Approach

The Jungian approach begins with the idea that we are born with an archetypal structure and not just a blank screen. In the psyche is an innate pattern that has been formed over the course of civilisation's development. Jung called this ancient layer, the collective unconscious. It is the foundation of the personality, a great sea, and the original source from which the individual roots and grows. In therapy we awaken this connection to the collective unconscious to bring a new force to the therapeutic process.
